Easy-Access Sinks

Sinks need to be easy to access, whether a person chooses to use them seated or standing. It can be tricky to find a sink that provides the option for someone to access it without excessive reaching from a forward-facing position if seated on a stool or in a chair. The drain and garbage disposal need to be in the rear to allow legs to at least partially fit underneath. If the faucet is installed to the side of the sink instead of the rear, it will require less reach. This is great for kids and anyone who uses a seat. A shallow sink is also much easier to use when seated than a deep, tall sink due to clearance underneath.
